Roald Dahl Day

We had a wonderful day in school celebrating 100 years of Roald Dahl. Children and staff all looked wonderful as they came dressed as characters from Dahl’s books, enjoyed a scrumdiddlyumptious lunch prepared by our wonderful dinner ladies and welcomed their parents in to share some Dahl-astic activities.

We managed to raise a splendiferous £119. The money  will be split between the ‘Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity’ for seriously ill children and the other half will be spent on buying books for our library for our children to enjoy.

Even the parents seemed to enjoy themselves!

It’s good for the children to interact with each other, dress up and have fun. Some of the costumes are really creative. All in all, a good day.
