Y6 Leavers in London!

As their Leaver’s Trip, Year 6 traveled to London to see the West End production of Lion King. This was a wonderful opportunity to see this world famous production and the children absolutely LOVED it!

They had a wonderful time and in between spotting famous landmarks such as St Paul’s Cathedral, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye, they even managed to see how many of them could squeeze into a London phone box at once!

They looked fantastic in their Lion King Trust Leavers T-shirts as they saw some of the sites of London. One highlight was the Pizza Hut buffet on the Strand – where they ate their entire body weights in pizza! another was the street entertainer who enthralled the children with some of the biggest bubbles they had ever seen!

Then it was off to the Lyceum Theatre for the Lion King. The performance was magical and the children were completely captivated throughout.

The children were an absolute credit throughout the day – from the 5:45 am start to 11:30 pm when the bus finally pulled into Darfield they were fantastic. My thanks to them for making the day so special for all the staff who traveled with them.
