Following our super Harvest Festival, Year 5 children delivered the Harvest gifts to elderly residents in the locality.
The gifts brought a lovely smile to the pensioners faces but they were equally delighted to have been visited. Our children too got something from the experience – they realized the impact of a kind word and a smile and it reinforced the high value we place on being kind, considerate, respectful members of the local community.
One of our pupils received this lovely comment after she and her dad made the most fantastic presentation box for her Harvest gift to the elderly:
A most beautiful Harvest Gift! All the hard work that has gone into making the fantastic box that the harvest came in deserves a standing ovation. Well done everyone.
