Mother’s Day Service 2017
Our Mother’s Day Service was once again very well attended. The children loved the opportunity to tell the special ladies in their lives just how much they mean to them and the assembly was both lovely and moving.
The children performed for over 100 of our mums, grans, aunties and special ladies (and a few dads!) to thank them for all that they do and to let them know just how special they are to us.
The assembly began with Y5 reading their Mother’s Day poems. The rest of the school then entertained the mums by sharing poems, prayers and cards, with Year 2 singing Mama by the Spice Girls and Year 4 performing a special Mother’sDay rap before the whole school sang the song ‘Supermum.’
As each mum left they were presented with a daffodil.
The mums all seemed to enjoy the assembly and left us with some wonderful comments:
Wonderful assembly! Fantastic ideas from each class showing Mums what they mean to their children. Lots of laughs and tears!
An adorable service, loved the Mother’s Day rap and seeing all the beautiful cards the children made. Lovely!
