Trust Cricket competition

Darfield Cricket Club hosted the annual St Mary’s Academy Trust cricket competition and despite the threat of rain disrupting play everyone had a great time.

All seven schools sent 2 teams each and they had a fantastic day – even if it did run a little later than planned. The children from ASA didn’t win the tournament but because they came second in just about every match played we are claiming second place overall!

One of the loveliest things was when our children came back to school having loved the event but so pleased because staff from different schools had complimented them on their sportsman ship and fair play. That makes them real winners!
